Back in 2022, I announced that our WPBeginner Growth Fund had taken an investment stake in Seahawk Media, a promising WordPress services company. Our goal was to combine their service expertise with our platform to launch WPBeginner Pro Services and offer our users high-quality development and maintenance solutions across our product brands.
During our partnership, we are proud to have helped Seahawk Media achieve significant milestones, including a 3x growth in their business.
However, as we look to the future, we have decided to laser focus on our core strengths: building best-in-class premium WordPress plugins and software products. This is where we truly excel and where we believe we can provide the most value to the WordPress community.
Due to a misalignment in our long-term vision with Seahawk Media leadership, we have made the difficult but the right decision to exit our investment. We wish the entire Seahawk Media team the very best in their future endeavors.
What This Means for WPBeginner Pro Services Customers
Effective immediately, we will be closing down the WPBeginner Pro Services offering. We are committed to making this process as smooth as possible for our valued customers. Any services that you have paid for will be delivered with the highest quality that you’ve come to expect from us.
Customers that are on our website maintenance plans, you can either:
- Choose to have your plan and services seamlessly migrated to Seahawk Media, who will continue to provide you with the support you need.
- Alternatively, you can cancel your WPBeginner Pro Services plan with no penalty. Those on annual plans are eligible for pro-rated refunds.
Our support team will be reaching out to all affected customers with detailed instructions on how to proceed.
