DESCRIPTION:Join GreenUP as we plant a new Little Forest — a densely planted collection of native trees and shrubs designed to grow into a diverse\, resilient forest ecosystem. \nTogether\, we’ll be planting 300 native trees and 50 shrubs in a 100m² space at Ecology Park. As the forest grows\, it will provide key habitat for wildlife\, increase biodiversity\, capture carbon\, provide shade\, and demonstrate what can be accomplished by bringing together a host of native plants in a little space. \nCome get your hands dirty\, learn more about Little Forests and native species\, and help us to establish a forest that will continue to serve the community for many generations to come. \nGreenUP graciously thanks Canadian Trees for Life and Green Communities Canada for their support of the Little Forest program. \nRegistration is required at https://greenup.on.ca/volunteer-portal
