DESCRIPTION:A Free Afternoon of Live Big Band Music by the Water \nPeterborough\, ON – Get ready to swing\, sway\, and soak up the music as Big Band Day returns to Millennium Park on Saturday\, September 12\, 2026 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. This very popular free family-friendly event invites music lovers of all ages to enjoy an unforgettable afternoon of Big Band performances in one of Peterborough’s most scenic outdoor venues\, Millennium Park\, right next to the Silver Bean Café. Featured songs range from traditional jazz standards and swing classics to Latin\, funk\, rock and pop from the 1960-1990s\, something to suit everyone’s musical taste. \nPrepare to sit back and be thoroughly entertained by the 4 talented bands! \n●Peterborough Concert Band at 12:00 pm:\n●Knightshift  at 1:00 pm\n●Electric City Swing Band at 2:00 pm\n●Revelation Big Band at 3:00 pm \nAdmission is free. Chairs\, picnic tables and shade canopies will be provided but attendees may want to bring their own lawn chairs and settle in for a full afternoon of music by the water. \nThere will be a 50/50 Draw\, tickets for which will be sold at Millennium Park throughout the afternoon. The draw will take place just after 4:00 pm and the winner must be present to claim their prize. Tickets are $5 each\, or 3 for $10\, or 7 for $20! \nPlease note: This is an outdoor event and is weather-dependent.
