DESCRIPTION:Cancer Takedown is an uplifting evening of song\, story and solidarity; with all proceeds going to Cancer Care at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.\n\nFeaturing incredible musicians Melissa Payne\, Kate Suhr\, The Weber Brothers\, Nicholas Campbell\, Anthony Bastianon and more. Co-hosted by comedic powerhouses Megan Murphy and Denise Oucharek.\n \nWe are thrilled to announce that Jeanne Beker will be our special guest speaker for the Lindsay show on Nov 4 at Flato Academy Theatre. Jeanne Beker is a trailblazer in Canadian media and one of Canada’s most beloved influences on fashion and culture. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022\, Jeanne will share insights into her own cancer experience.\n\nThe show also features three women (all diagnosed under the age of 40) sharing their stories; focusing on the emotional and mental rollercoaster that the cancer experience brings.\n\nCancer Takedown is a fundraiser\, but more importantly it is a spirit-raiser for anyone touched by cancer. Our ambition is to bring attention to the emotional and mental burden of cancer\, uniting people through shared experience.\n\nFor people who have been through cancer\, to those in the middle of their fight.
