In this intimate and deeply moving portrait of a family in crisis, Florence, a renowned botanist can no longer remember her life’s work—or recognize her own children. Siblings Andrew and Maggie navigate the difficult realities of caring for their once-brilliant mother who is struggling with dementia. Over the course of a deceptively ordinary afternoon, old resentments resurface as they struggle to balance duty with their own busy lives, while Florence drifts between the fog of dementia and moments of determined clarity. Tender, unflinching, and achingly human, this compassionate exploration asks profound questions about identity, forgiveness, and the cost of caregiving.
