A Peterborough story comes home as Trent Valley Archives Theatre presents “The Kid from Simcoe Street,” a coming-of-age stage play about James Clarke during wartime Peterborough. It takes a village, and a resilient boy, to survive an alcoholic, wartime home on Simcoe Street, Peterborough, and achieve a place of honour as a judge with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Don’t miss Trent Valley Archives Theatre’s 2026 World Premiere of its new fundraising history play, “The Kid from Simcoe Street.” It’s based on the memoir of the same name by James Clarke, at the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre on June 4 and 5 at 7:30pm, and on June 6 and 7 at 2pm.
