This is a cigarette butt only clean up event – and anywhere on hospital grounds goes!! Particular focus will be along edges of parking lots, sidewalks, near storm drains and areas people congregate. Cigarette butts are one of the most littered items in the world, and every cigarette butt collected will be recycled thru Terracycle Canada.

Volunteers will meet up and register outside of main entrance on West side of building (not emergency entrance). We will have a table – shouldn’t be hard to find. ALL volunteers who want to help out will receive FREE parking in visitor lots! Park in ANY visitor lot – you will get a Parking Pass at registration that you can use on the way out. So please come out and help – there is a opportunity to collect a LOT of cigarette butts at this clean up!

Gloves, Pick-Up Pails, and Litter Grabbers provided. We may try tongs with this one as the larger litter grabbers don’t pick up the butts very well. Feel free to bring your own upcycled container (ie yogurt container) as well!
