Hosted and organized by Steve Paul of Clean Up Peterborough, RE:Connect is the city’s first-ever circular economy celebration. Inspired by the success of Toronto’s ReMarket, this free, family-friendly event shines a spotlight on creative, practical ways our community can reduce waste, repair what we already have, and keep valuable items in use.
✨ What you can expect:
Drop-off opportunities for hard-to-recycle materials through TerraCycle recycling programs
Hands-on activities and family-friendly ways to learn about sustainability
Community connections with local organizations, makers, and changemakers
Explore year-round programs like Repair Café Peterborough, OPIRG’s FreeMarkets, and B!KE’s membership model, with opportunities to get involved in ongoing circular economy initiatives
This isn’t a vendor fair — it’s a community-building celebration of reuse, repair, and sustainability in action. Whether you’re looking to declutter responsibly, pick up something new-to-you, or discover ways to live more lightly on the planet, there will be something for everyone.
We’ve designed the event to run into the evening so families, students, and working folks can stop by after school or work.
Come for the swaps, stay for the inspiration — and be part of the movement to make Peterborough a cleaner, more connected community.
