RE:Connect Returns This Spring as Peterborough’s Circular Economy Celebration and Learning Event
Where Community, Creativity, and Circular Living Meet
Clean Up Peterborough will host the spring edition of RE:Connect on April 15, 2026, at the Morrow Building. Running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., this free, family-friendly event brings together local organizations, makers, and sustainability leaders to showcase practical, creative ways to reduce waste, reuse materials, and rethink how everyday items are used.
Inspired by similar circular economy events in Toronto, RE:Connect has grown into Peterborough’s Circular Economy Celebration and Learning Event, highlighting community solutions that keep valuable materials in use and out of landfill.
Attendees can explore, learn, and connect through a variety of interactive experiences:
• Community Collections – Convenient drop-off opportunities for hard-to-recycle items through multiple free programs.
• The Great Peterborough Clothing Swap – A large-scale community swap designed to keep clothing in circulation and accessible.
• RE:Create Art Contest – A creative showcase inviting residents to transform reused materials into original works of art.
• Local Vendors & Makers – Meet sustainable businesses, vintage sellers, and upcyclers redefining waste as a resource.
• Demonstrations & Learning Tables – Hands-on opportunities to discover repair skills, reuse ideas, and circular living strategies.
• Community Connections – Meet local groups and initiatives working year-round to strengthen sustainability across Peterborough.
RE:Connect is more than an event — it’s a growing community movement that empowers residents to take practical action toward a more sustainable future. Whether attending, participating, or collaborating, everyone plays a role in building a stronger circular economy locally.
